MAP STRUCTURE
Snow Peak is a map the size of Ragnarok, it combines all of the official ARK DLC's in one map.
What looks normal on the outside transits into a huge cavenetwork which can be entranced by either a circular canyon at the center of the map or a network of underwater caves leading towards the underside of the overworld.
The surface has all different biomes you need to get the dinos you want. Keep in mind that swamps or aberration themed things can only rarely be found outside of the underworld.
On top of that is a group of flying islands far above the ground. At its sides, carved in the rocks, you can find the most dangerous and mythical creatures such as the wyvern and rock drake (but they can also be found in the desert or underworld).
Since I value being able to find all the different dlc's dinos and items on one map, I'll make sure to introduce an "Extinction" based area once it has been released.
COMING CHANGES
I am now going to start to sculpt the map structure more detailed, so that everything looks better and is accessable if it's supposed to be.
I am still new to map making, so every bit of feedback helps me to advance the map a little further into the right direction, thereby I'd really apreciate your help by telling me what you like and/or don't like!
CURRENT STATE OF PROGRESS
Update 0.3
-(FINALLY) fixed the light issues
-fixed a worldglitch
-fixed cave entrances
-removed waterspots where it was not supposed to be
-extended oasis (requires a foliage update, coming next patch)
-fixed some issues with rocks
Update 0.2
-added a time and weather system and fixed sky and light
Update 0.1
-overworld basic map structure about 60% finished
Released on 22nd March 2018
-contains about 15% of the surfaces landscape
-underworld and flying islands not in progress yet
-ocean, cliffs and mountain added
-beaches, rocks and grassland cover the maps first areas
