While this mod is based around adding an economy, there is much more to it.
Features:
- The Dodorex Altar is the main feature. This is an altar to worship the great Dodorex. Almost all features currently surround this structure.
- Prayers. Pray at the altar for the chance to get a buff. Five different prayer rituals allow you to pray for five different buffs. Going somewhere cold? Choose the ritual of Fire for a buff that adds 200 hypothermic insulation. Going in a cave? Choose the ritual of Earth to get a buff that cuts damage taken in half. But beware, if your prayers are not answered, there is a chance that you will be left with an empty feeling... (Debuff "Wavering Faith" -20% max HP; -20% max stamina; -50% fortitude)
- Trials of Ascension! There is one way to ascend in ARK: Trial by Combat. This mod adds two more trials. Trial of Sacrifice where you must sacrifice many tamed dinos at the altar, each dino has a set amount of points towards ascension. Trial of Greed, sacrifice your hard earned gold/silver/copper coins to achieve ascension.
- Sacrifices (Not to be confused with the Trial of Sacrifice). Sacrifice a dino to the altar. Almost every dino gives a certain bonus to the multiplier to increase your rewards. Be warned, the multiplier starts at 1% and only stacks for the one time you open your sacrifice menu. The multiplier is also affected by the level of your dino! For example, a level 100 rex grants a 40% bonus but a level 150 grants 60%. The more you sacrifice in one sitting, the higher the multiplier goes. Once your points go beyond 500,000 points, you get a Surprise Voucher for every 500,000 points on top of your earned coins. Which brings us to our next point.
- Surprise Vouchers. Either through Sacrifice or prayer, you can be awarded with with Surprise Vouchers. These are usable items that, when used, will grant you random items. It can be gold coins, materials, weapons, or armor. The weapons include: Metal Pick, Metal Hatchet, Crossbow, Longneck Rifle, Fabricated Shotgun, Primitive Shotgun, Fabricated Pistol, Simple Pistol, and fabricated sniper rifle. Armors include: cloth, fur, and riot gear (Please not you will be awarded one piece of armor, not a full set.) More gear to be added in the future. All gear can be anywhere from primitive to ascendant level.
- Buy Tek Engrams. Every engram can be bought one at a time in the form of a "Engram Gift". This is a consumable item that will unlock the engram for you. Weapons, armor, saddles, all of them. Please note that they are not cheap so don't expect to run out and buy them in just a couple days!
- Buyable Element. Don't feel like doing boss fights just to power your tek generator? On a small server that would have a very difficult time doing that? Buy some element instead. After all, you can buy the engrams too.
So coins. The original part of this mod. To get coins, for once, nobody has to cheat them in. No admins required to dump money into the economy. Build an altar and look into its inventory. Just like a crafting bench, you will find that there are blueprints inside (they cannot be removed). Most materials can be traded in to get coins (used to craft). Many trophies from creatures, such as argentavis talons, can be exchanged for silver coins, and the rare black pearls are worth 4 gold each.
With your coins, you have access to buy all the items in the altar, sure... But where to keep them? Carry them around in your inventory all the time? Stash them in a random storage box in your house where you have to remember what storage box they were in or dedicate a specific storage box to them? Absolutely not! Why do that when you can easily buy a little bank? That's right, mini dino banks. Get a cute little otter bank, a tiny spino bank, a mini dodorex bank, or a howling direwolf bank! These cute critters will hold your coins in a lockable container and you can excange copper for silver, silver for gold, and vice versa inside their inventory. These cute little banks can be placed on the floor, on the ground, or on a table. They're just happy to hold your coins for you.
Currently Known Bugs:
- There is a bug where the ascension trials will show that you have lost all progress after logging out and back in. This is just a UI bug, the points themselves are actually saved. To update the UI, simply progress further in the trial (In Trial of Greed, sacrifice any coin amount; In Trial of Blood, sacrifice any dino with value) and the UI will show the correct amount of points.
- There is a known bug where using Esc key to exit a UI causes the UI to disappear but not give camera control back to the player. Please use the 'Finish' button to exit UI until a patch is released.
Ascension Update:
- Creatures who are sacrificed will no longer leave behind a body.
- Added Cloth and Fur armors to Surprise Voucher possible rewards.
- Added Argentavis claws to list of pray quest items.
- Updated the way the altar chooses pray quest, making it much easier to add more quests.
- Added a variable to count how many times you pray.
- Added a timer to subtract one prayer count every 45 minutes. Timer resets every time you pray so if you pray within that 45 minutes, the count will not go down.
- Every prayer added to the counter adds a 10% chance to get the buff you pray for up to a maximum of 95%. If the counter reaches 0, you have 25% chance to get buff.
- Overhauled system so that no core files were changed, allowing the mod to stack with others.
- Added new "Trial" category to Dodorex Altar's Multi Use wheel.
- Added Trial of Wealth ascension trial.
- Added UI for Trial of Wealth.
- Added UI for Trial or Blood.
- Added Floating Text to display Pray status/timer
- Changed Ascension Trials to where you cannot take on the next tier of trials unless you are at your current level cap.
- Reworked the way the UI communicates with the server to sacrifice dinos and coins, improving reliability.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed issue where Surprise Voucher wouldn't give item when it should have given Element material.
- Fixed issue where Surprise Voucher gear was almost always Ascendant Gear.
- Fixed issue where Pray option was not greyed out when disabled
- Fixed bug where Trial of Blood could continuously pay players
- Fixed bug where only male characters could ascend.
- Fixed bug where altar being unlocked would not allow others to use the pray option.
- Fixed a bug where Trial of Blood would pay coins.
- Fixed a bug where controller extension buff was not saving.

- Backend programming optimizaion
- Elemental Buffs! Five Different elemental buffs as follows:
1. Fire - Increases hypothermic insulation.
2. Ice - Increases hyperthermic insulation.
3. Earth - Decreases damage taken by 50%.
4. Air - Oxygen drains 10 times slower.
5. Spirit - Gives a 500% exp gain buff.
- Added Wavering Faith debuff. 5% chance to receive debuff when praying. Debuff lowers max HP and stamina by 20%, and cuts Fortitude by 50% for one hour.
Bug Fixes in Pray Patch:
- Fixed bug that would allow you to craft Surprise Voucher more than once by adding enough resources to craft multiple amounts and then selecting "Craft All"
- Added a message when trying to craft more than one Surprise Voucher.
