In this mod, I created three katanas. The first two katanas are weapons that are learned at certain levels and also have a special crafting station where they can be crafted. The third katana is a special one with its own unique story and cannot be learned through engram points.
Each weapon also has a unique special attack system activated with the right mouse button. Additionally, with the last katana, pressing the mouse wheel triggers a harakiri move that grants a buff. This buff allows you to launch slash waves that deal high damage through the special animation triggered by the right-click. All three weapons have their own stamina system for this right-click attack, which can be used a maximum of three times consecutively. The first two katanas have a 20-second cooldown, while the last katana has a one-minute cooldown. To implement this system, I had to modify the character in the game, so if you are using a mod that changes your character, there may be conflicts.
I also added extra dinosaurs to the game, which you can identify by their colors. I included Raptors and Rexes. The Rex comes in two different colors: the red one is stronger than normal Rexes, while the black one is even stronger than the red Rex. The black Rex has a lower spawn rate and does not reproduce, as it has no egg-laying system.
By defeating these dinosaurs, you can obtain a crafting station schematic and a portal schematic, which allow you to teleport to a specific location in the game and fight waves of dinosaurs in four successive rounds. After each wave, there is a one-minute waiting period for health regeneration and similar effects.
Once all waves are defeated, the schematic for this special katana drops, allowing you to craft it. I also wrote a story for the weapon, which I have included in the Change Notes.
Additionally, I added extra resources to the game. To craft this weapon, you need to use the resources dropped by the dinosaurs I added, as well as the schematics in the crafting station. I don’t plan to add anything else to this mod, and some things may not work on dedicated servers. However, if you plan to play with friends and one of you runs the server while using their computer as a client, you should not encounter any problems.
If you are interested, feel free to download it. As I mentioned, I don’t intend for this to be a heavily developed mod. I created it simply as an interesting extra addition while playing with my friends. My computer isn’t high-end, so I don’t plan to make further improvements or new mods. Still, if you want some useful extra weapons and an additional mission while playing, I hope you enjoy it.
