This is a simple stackable mod that requires no plugin to function.
It is only relevant to dedicated server games.
There is no functional reason to use this with SP or Non-Dedi games.

This mod allows you to leave Steam Family Sharing enabled for your servers while still preventing banned players from using that to bypass your ban list.
That's the jist of it!
How does it do this?
- On login, Simple Ban checks with Steam if player is borrowing Ark from someone.
- If they are, Steam will say who they are borrowing it from (SteamID).
- Simple Ban checks the lender's ID with the Ban List.
- If lender is banned then so is the borrower, and they are kicked.

[*]ADMIN/RCON COMMANDS
At a minimum this mod needs two things supplied in the server's GameUserSettings.ini file.
There are more setup options, see above discussions for more info.
1. BanListURL
BanListURL="https://your/server/ban/list"
This is Ark's setting, not this mod's. Make sure you wrap the url in double quotes as shown.
2. SteamApiKey
SteamApiKey=YOURSTEAMAPIKEY
This is needed in order to ask Steam if players are using Family Sharing.

Anyone can get a Steam API Key. They are free and associated to your Steam Account.
You just have to request it. This link will take you to where you can get a key.
Get a Steam API Key
You will need to login to your Steam Account and follow the site's instructions.
Your Steam API Key should be kept SECURE!
Simple Ban will NOT use this key for anything other than talking directly to Steam.
