This resource converter was created because I want to go through all ARKs once with a friend. Unfortunately there are not everywhere the same resources, as you know. Unfortunately, the converter mods available on Steam could not convince me and partly the newer ARKs were not taken into consideration.
So I struggled through the ARK Dev Kit, watched dozens of videos and finally created this mod to make my ARK evenings a bit more enjoyable.
Until now there is every resource from all official DLCs:
- Scorched Earth
- Aberration
- Extinction
- Genesis
- Genesis 2
All the modded resources can be used in exchange to the normal ones for crafting etc. The modded Sulfur can also used like the normal one for feeding the Phoenix, which was one of my reasons to make this mod :)
And you don't need the DLCs for the resource converters. But you should probably use them, because you still need the DLCs for unlocking some engrams of course^^
The resource converter mod works quite simple:
Starting at level 6, you can unlock the "Fever's Resource Converter" parallel with the mortar and pestle.
And on Level 20, parallel with the normal Work Bench / Smithy, you can unlock the "Fever's Resource Smithy". In this Smithy all the resources, that can also be crafted in the Resource Converter have a x5 Crafting Multiplier. So the crafting or converting is even more cheaper. Same amount of resources, but x5 more outcome! The Spoil Timer is increased from x4 (Resource Converter) to x10. So you\'re Food and anything with a spoil timer will last x10 longer.
I also add a modded version of the climbing pick. Because of the "hard-coded" need to use the original green gem. Now you can craft the "Fever's Climbing Pick" within your inventory and also in the resource converter and resource smithy.
The Resource Converter keeps resources fresh 4 times longer.
The following resources can be crafted:
Level 6:
Deathworm Horn, Raw Salt, Sand, Silk, Sulfur, Cactus Sap
Blue Gem, Blue Crystalized Sap, Green Gem, Fragmented Green Gem, Red Gem, Red Crystalized Sap
Fungal Wood, Corrupted Wood, Aggeravic Mushroom, Aquatic Mushroom, Ascerbic Mushroom, Auric Mushroom
Level 25:
Turtle Shell Fragment (as wished in the comments)
Level 36: (because Large Crop Plots needed)
Plant Species X Seed, Plant Species Y Seed, Plant Species Z Seed
Level 40:
Congealed Gas Ball, Condensed Gas, Nameless Venom, Mutagel, Ambergris
Level 104: (because Tek Crop Plots needed)
Plant Species R-1 Seed (Raw Meat), Plant Species R-2 Seed (Raw Fish), Plant Species R-3 Seed (Spoiled Meat), Plant Species R-4 Seed (Prime Meat), Plant Species R-5 Seed (Prime Fish)
I tested the mod both in singleplayer and multiplayer with and without other mods and also different mod order without any problems.
Planned Updates:
- Engrams/Blueprints from the normal Mortar & Pestle will be craftable in the Resource Converter
- Engrams/Blueprints from the Smithy / Work Bench will be craftable in the Resource Smithy
-> So you no longer need to place the normal Mortar & Pestle or Smithy / Work Bench
