Adds a new version of the Mantis to the game, the Black Draedon. His stats are improved, he can jump now, he can craft stuctures in the saddle and his first attack will do torpor damage and harvest cementing paste the same way the Beelzebuffo does (he still farms fiber). Not convinced? The Black Draedon also comes in a dangerous black and red skin.
Black Draedons are as predecessors of the worker ants capable of carrying many times their own body weight, so the wood, stone, thatch, fiber and metal weights less.
Taming:
Tranquillize the Black Draedon and feed him spoiled meat or, even better, Pulmonoscorpius kibble to tame.
Saddle:
The Black Draedon saddle is available with level 25, it contains a smithy to build some wood, stone and adobe structures as well as a metal hatchet and pick. The adobe structures are build of stone instead of clay, so they will be compatible with The Island map.
Spawning:
The Black Draedon spawns in mountain regions (I only tested The Island, feel free to post experiences you make with other maps). It does not spawn itself in Scorched Earth, only with console command.
The spawning areas may not work properly with other dino mods: if another mod changes the mountain region spawn entries, the mod higher in load order "wins" and the dinos of the lower mod will not spawn. If so the spawning command still works:
cheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/Draedon/Draedon_Character_BP.Draedon_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 120
Compability:
I tried this out with lots of other mods, no problems so far. Please post any compability issues you notice.
Stuff I may change/ fix:
The stats get after first saving and reloading the game a boost, depending on the level of the Black Draedon. For level 120 the stats go about 1/3 up, for level 1200 they are about 5 times higher (the health takes a long time to restore then).
