Notice: This mod is old and unlikly to be touched. It was my first venture into modding and a huge learning experience. It'll be re-made and included into the modular version of Exiles of the ARK when it comes out.
The Stim Station is a small stackable mod that adds several new potions, stims and tonics to the game.
Discover new potions though putting ingredients into the Stim Cooker, or try and mix those potions together to gain boosted effects! One must be mindful, however, mixing the wrong things together or trying to boost something too much may have some nasty side effects. You can also store your stims in a new Stim Storage box to preserve them and allow them to last longer.
HOW IT WORKS
The Stim Cooker works much like the cooking pot. Recipes are not shown but can be crafted by putting a mix of berry’s, crops, narcs, stims, seeds, other materials and even crafted potions. It is powered by wood and thatch, no water needed though future recipes may need water to dilute the effects and turn a harmful potion into something useable. Same for why spark powder isn’t used as a fuel, as it too will be used for future potions.
Mod also includes a Stim Storage that works much like a preserving bin that is powered by thatch. The thatch turns into Ash when used by the stim storage and that ash may just be used in some potions.
All potions follow a set theme. If you discover a potion, the next tier of that potion will follow similar ingredients plus 1-5 of the previous potion. You may have to add in new ingredients to boost the effects or mix it with another potion type. Each potion also has its own unique description to give you a hint at what they might do. Some are obvious, others are more obscure and you’ll need to test what you've made to understand what it does.
FUTURE PLANS
Arrows and Darts you can craft by mixing them with various potions. Inspired by Overmatch’s Ana, you may be able to ‘power up’ friends from afar, (or boost an enemy, oops).
May also include ‘in-between’ effective tranquilizer arrows and darts. Like an arrow between the tranquilizer arrow and tranquilizer dart, and a dart between the current tranquilizer dart and shocking dart.
Planning on also including even higher tier tranquilizers that are disabled by default, but ini enabled to allow stronger tiered tranquilizers for servers with boosted dino levels and difficulties.
