This mod adds a mid game tier Spyglass variance, bascially combining the regular Spyglass with a Magnifying Glass.
Please opt-in to the Pre-Aquatica BETA in Steam game properties to make this mod working! If the Pre-Aquatica is ditched at one point, make sure to properly back up your game and restore the old state. Consult these instructions on how to do this. Here's another one. Other than that you can also use the Google search phrase "roll back game with steam database". This mod will not be compatible with the new Aquatica mod kit versions and game, for the forseeable future.
!!!Make sure to unsub and resub on any new update here on the Steam page, because the ingame update procedure seems to be kind of unreliable!!!
Engram is accesable at lvl 48 and you will need a regular Spyglass, a Magnifying Glass, 25 Fibers, and 10 Organic Polymer to craft it in your inventory.
The M-Spyglass has the following features additionally to the standard Spyglass:
- targeting tooltip like the Magnifying Glass
- scope overlay is less narrow
- two zoom modes(standard Spyglass, and 50%+)
To toggle the zoom magnification, press fire while holding targeting(default: right mouse button).
The distance for the target tooltip can be customized in the GameUserSettings.ini. The max. is 25000.0, the default is 5000.0. Put this into your .ini:
TooltipDistance=5000.0I can't seem to get proper display of health and torpor!
Make sure to apply the .ini settings. Also notice, that with very high tooltip distance the targeting needs to be much more precise in order to actually "hit" the target. If you see stones or any other prop information on the widget while aiming add a Dino, it means you didn't properly target said Dino.
Any future ideas?
Yes. Since the whole idea wraps around a "makeshift and worn out" Spyglass "upgrade", I'm planning on changing the model so it has the Magnifying Glass attached in front of it.
