Another mod altering the loot you get from beacons and loot crates.
My goal is to make the loot more diverse, consistent and adapted to the level at which you can access it without changing the power level much. In other words: No Ascendant Fabricated Sniper Rifle in a white beacon; not even in a red one .-)
Note: This mod should work fine on both The Center and The Island, although I have to say that I didn't play long enough on The Island to make a good guess if the balance I had in mind when creating the mod is met there.
Also I didn't make changes to Scorched Earth drops (yet) because I never played on that map and thus have no feel for it (yet).
And last but not least it should be said that my target group for this mod is players on smaller servers or those who wish to be independet. For players on larger servers and/or in larger tribes my sense of balance could lead to collecting important items too fast because of the sheer number of people hunting loot. But in the end everyone has to see for himself if this mod is fine for him.
Most noteworthy changes I made:
- No more basic building tiles or blueprints (the latter maybe again once i manage to integrate those from the Structures Plus mod)
- Added several items which were not included in the standard loot
- Redistributed saddles according to the level at which you could also learn them, especially those added into the game later
- Redistributed many other items to make certain loot more accessible
- Removed most low level stuff (< level 20) from cave loot
- Removed many lower level stuff (level requirement < min. level to acces the loot) from both beacons and cave crates
- Tried to smooth out possible qualities among normal beacons, double beacons and cave loot
A complete list of my modified loot tables can be viewed in a thread in the discussion section. There's also a post on my exact and detailed thoughts behind this project.
Although the mod is finished for now and seems to work fine, feedback is still welcome in case anyone wants to share his or her thoughts.
