Do you love petting your Lystro or Bulbdog? Do you want to be able to pet all your dinos? Then this is the mod for you!
You can now pet any of your tribe's dinos! Existing pettable dinos remain pettable with their normal effects.
Petting dinos offers some additional benefits:
- Baby dinos will gain imprint (up to 5% per pet, customizable) when being petted (cooldown the same as for buffs mentioned above). Adults, if they are imprinted at all, can have their imprint increased by petting.
- Passively tamed dinos can be petted to increase their taming affinity.
- Tames can gain additional buffs to health or stamina regen, speed, damage, and damage resistance for a short time after being petted.
- Frightened dinos can be calmed down!
Additionally, you can now pet dinos to put them to sleep via a separate option on the radial menu. You can subsequently wake them up.
For their safety (and your peace of mind), a sleeping dino will wake up immediately if they take any damage.
While asleep, your dino will regain 5 health per second. But beware - they are also more susceptible to damage. Any damage taken will by increased by 50%.
Some notes:
- The petting mechanic works based on that of the Lystro - there will be an option to "Pet it" in the radial menu when you press E, and there will be an option just below "See Ancestors" on the dino's inventory UI.
- Assuming that baby imprinting is working as it should, it can be increased by 0.5% every five minutes, up to 100% imprint.

Note that this is a beta, there are likely to be bugs and issues, and let me know what they are so I can fix them.
If you experience a crash on server or client and believe it to be related to PetAllDinos, send me a detailed description of what was happening and a crash report! It's very difficult to determine what could be causing a crash without the report.

I had previously intended to implement a mechanism for taming dinos (beyond just passive tames) by petting them. However, I recently came across the Immersive Taming mod (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1251632107), which I think handles that mechanic far better than I'm currently able to implement. Instead of reinventing the wheel, I will instead refer anyone interested in such a mechanic to the Immersive Taming mod.

CONFIG SETTINGS:
Header is
MaxTameIncrease=5
- Maximum percentage by which a passively tamed dino's taming affinity increases when being petted. Default is 5%.
ForceMaxTaming=false
- Forces the taming affinity increase of a dino upon petting to be the value specified by MaxTameIncrease. Default if false.
MaxImprintIncrease=5
- Maximum percentage by which an imprinted dino's imprint can be increased when being petted, up to 100%. Default is 5%.
ForceMaxImprint=false
- Forces the imprint increase of a dino upon being petted to be the value specified by MaxImprintIncrease. Default is false.
PetEffectCooldown=300
- Seconds for the cooldown between instances where petting your dino has a bonus effect. Default is 300 seconds.
EnableBeta=false
- If true, enables beta features. Can be enabled/disabled on a per-dino basis via mutli-use.
LystroBuffForAll=false
- If true, all dinos will receive the lystro XP buff when petted.

- A dino will be temporarily immune to the Fear Roar of a Yutyrannus if it is petted. Petting them while under the effects of Fear will calm them, reducing the time before you can regain control.
- There is a chance for other buffs to be temporarily added to your dino, but there is a cooldown (customizable via .ini config) upon use. If the "Pet" option is green, a buff may be applied. If orange, the cooldown is still in effect.
