"The durable generator is a very high quality electric generator designed specifically to withstand the elements in the harsh Scorched Earth desert environment. Insulated with clay and polymer, and using a gasoline and oil mix, it can keep running without the normal wear and tear that the cheap generator succumbs to. It is also grounded and surge protected to keep it running during even the worst electrical storms!"

Tired of repairing your generator all the time or being confined to a 100% wind area to maintain power? Then this is the mod for you!
The mod adds a structure called "Durable Generator". The engram can be learned at level 65 for 12 engram points, and requires that you know the electrical generator and oil pump engrams first. You can find it in the Scorched Earth engram section. The generator is crafted in player inventory and requires the following materials:
200 metal ingots, 50 electronics, 60 polymer, 40 cement paste, 20 clay and 20 oil
Once placed, the generator can be picked back up, saving a costly rebuild if you need to move it.
The generator requires a gasoline and oil mixture to run. It will make the mixture on its own. You just need to place the gasoline and oil into its inventory (one of each per fuel). One fuel will run the generator for one hour – the same as the standard generator.
The generator will not turn off during electrical storms. It will keep providing power. However, connected items may still turn off based on their own chance to be knocked out during a storm.
Bonus: Thanks to its insulation and lubricating fuel mixture, the durable generator runs 67% quieter than the vanilla generator, and the sound only carries 33% as far.
