Mystic Menagerie: A New Fantastical ARK Experience!
Mystic Menagerie seeks to add a collection of creatures and other content to your ARK: Survival Evolved experience. Our goal is to create a diverse and engaging roster of creatures to enrich your gameplay. We strive to balance these fantastical additions around vanilla levels, while adding new gameplay options for all stages of the game.
What is this mod about?
1) Grounded Fantasy:
While not all creatures will follow this rule to the letter, we want to explore traditional fantasy concepts with a speculative biology lens, and create a selection of creatures that feel alive and evolving with the ARKs- but still distinctly fantastical.
2) New Gameplay Niches:
Each creature will have a unique place in the creature roster that gives the player new ways to play or optimize their survival on the ARKs focused on vanilla balance. Our aim is to expand gameplay and enrich the ARKs with fantasy creatures, while not eclipsing vanilla critters.
3) More than tweaked ARK models:
While some of our creatures are made using ARK assets, most critters are made with the goal in mind to be able to stand on their own -that means unique custom models and animations made at professional quality made by Scorching_Kami, one of the head modders for this mod!
